The UK’s First Multi-Functional Roof Tile

Bute3® is a revolutionary new concrete roof tile, combining 3 Traditional Plain Tiles with a standard interlocking roof tile format. It blends innovative design with cutting-edge production techniques, making it the most versatile roof tile product in the UK market today.

The tile features a double-cambered design which provides a genuine alternative to natural slate, small-format concrete and clay roof tiles but with all the installation benefits that come with an interlocking standard format tile.

Bute3® is produced on our state-of-the-art new production line, the first of its kind, at our newly constructed facility in Burton-on-Trent. Construction of this new manufacturing facility demonstrates our dedication to product development and innovation, as well as a reduced carbon footprint and commitment to revolutionising the roof tile industry.

Dry Verge System

The Bute3 Dry Verge is a high-quality mechanically fixed verge unit which does not require the use of mortar. It has been developed solely for use with the Bute3® roof tile and perfectly fits the tile’s double-cambered design.

The Bute3 Dry Verge System is manufactured to meet the requirements of BS 5534 and
BS 8612.

The system is made up of left and right-handed Dry Verge Units which securely connect to the adjacent unit and are mechanically fixed to the batten using the dedicated Dry Verge Screwnail. There are Ridge End Caps and Eaves Stop Ends to finish off the verge in an attractive manner.

Vent Tile

The Bute3 RussVent securely fits with the surrounding tiles and achieves a 10,000mm² free air capacity.

The vent comprises the outer vent unit, a base with rain discharge points, and an adaptor which can connect to a 110mm flexi pipe (supplied separately). The elements effortlessly interlock, creating a durable, high-quality unit.

The dimensions and minimum pitch of the Bute3 RussVent match that of the Bute3® tile.

Clips

Bute3®  has it’s own uniquely designed tile clip which doesn’t require nailing. The easy to install clip provides a secure fixing suitable for use in all UK locations and assists in the roof installation conforming to BS 5534.

The requirement for tile clips is determined by obtaining a site-specific fixing specification, available here.
