Russells is centre of investment at Center Parcs

Short break provider Center Parcs has once again chosen Russell Roof Tiles to supply a sustainable roofing solution, as it undergoes a £20m investment programme at Elveden Forest.

The large investment at the 400-acre site is near Brandon, on the Suffolk and Norfolk border, will see the upgrading of its recreational facilities and accommodation.

As part of the investment, Russell Roof Tiles worked with contractor Bowmer and Kirkland to supply 10,000 Grampian tiles in anthracite for nine new three-bedroom Executive Lodges.

The partnership follows on from Russell Roof Tiles’ success at Center Parcs Woburn Forest. Having used Grampian Tiles at Woburn Forest, Center Parcs requested the tile again for Elveden Forest as the team had been impressed by the outstanding quality and sustainable credentials of the product.

Grampian tiles are a standard flat interlocking roof tile, combining the traditional yet stylish appearance of slate or clay tiles with the security of an interlocking design and the economy of concrete.

Center Parcs is dedicated to achieving carbon reduction having achieved the carbon trust standard for all its sites and Russell’s concrete roof tiles provide the green and long-life benefits while requiring minimal maintenance once installed. The versatility of concrete allows for an authentic slate effect roof tile with the benefits of offering greater strength.

Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles said: “Having built a fantastic relationship with Center Parcs, it is great to see Russell Roof Tiles chosen once again to supply tiles for such a large and significant project and it is a prime example of our continued success in Suffolk and the South of England.

“Our Grampian tiles are continuing to prove popular as contractors and developers realise the benefits of durability and greater strength. Our concrete tiles help to achieve this, providing a technically consistent, enduring product.”

Construction is expected to be completed in March 2018 with the lodges opening to customers in April and will bring the total number of accommodation units at Elveden Forest to 900.
