Copeland Park in Gloucester is the first development in the region to feature a new innovative sustainable roofing product.
Pioneering manufacturer, Russell Roof Tiles was required to provide the housing development in Tuffley, 15 minutes from the Gloucester, with 14,000 Moray Tiles in harvest stone.
These high-tech, man-made tiles are one of three new stone varieties to be recently introduced to Russells’ Natural Range – a new and expanding selection of thinner leading edge interlocking concrete tiles that has the appearance of slate, clay or stone.
Copeland Park has now seen 1,000 one, two and three bedroom houses built in the area thanks to the main contractor, Bovis Homes. The team chose the Natural Range’s new tiles for their strength, sustainability and fantastic appearance that reflects the local stone roofs in the area.
With a pitched roof making up 40 per cent of a home’s façade, it has a major impact on the overall aesthetic. When using one of the new stone colours, the Moray tiles when laid broken bonded gives the appearance of natural stone tiles while also providing the benefits of a concrete tile including consistency and longevity, minimising the life time costs of the roof once installed.
