Russell Roof Tiles and Solfit have formed a strategic partnership focused on roof-integrated solar for the UK new-build housing sector.
Solfit has developed a fully integrated in-roof solar system designed specifically for new-build housing, combining roof-integrated solar panels with panel-level microinverter technology and an all-metal mounting architecture.
The system also removes plastic mounting trays commonly used in some in-roof solar installations, replacing them with a dual-glass and all-metal architecture designed to improve fire performance, durability and long-term roof integrity. High-output panels allow required system capacity to be achieved with fewer modules, simplifying roof layouts and reducing penetrations across developments.
Our partnership with Solfit reflects a broader shift in the construction industry as solar moves from being an optional technology upgrade to becoming a structural element of new home design.
