End of Life Recycling for Dry Fix Products

At Russell Roof Tiles we are committed to manufacturing sustainable products that last and can be fully recycled at the end of their initial intended use.

The following products that we manufacture account for the largest proportion of our plastic components;

Dry Verge Units
Ridge End caps
Stop Ends
Russfast Ridge Unions
Ridge/Hip Batten Connectors
Russfast ‘H’ clips
Tile Clips

All are made using a variety of plastic materials such as PVC, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Nylon.

Where possible, we re-grind material from off-cuts or scrap products and recycle them back into the production process. This helps us reduce the amount of virgin material that we use and ensures that most of our plastic components contain at least an element of recycled material that might otherwise have been disposed of as waste.

These products have effectively secured roofs throughout the UK for in excess of 25 years, but if a product ever becomes damaged or needs to be changed or removed for any reason then all the afore mentioned products can be fully recycled at the end of their service life.

The materials we use are all widely processed throughout the UK, and most National or Regional waste contractors should be able to take and recycle your Dry Fix products or allocate them to the appropriate waste streams such as waste to energy plants, avoiding waste being sent to landfill.

This is all part of the Russell Roof Tiles strategy ensuring that our products are sustainable, even beyond their initial intended purpose.
