Background

Russell Roof Tiles team worked collaboratively with Bloor Homes to provide expertise and technical specification information, as well as offering peace of mind that the Russell Roof Tiles roofing solution would perform for many years to come.

The Lothian tile from the Natural Range, in Slate Grey and Cottage Red were specified by Bloor Homes, providing the aesthetic diversity required for this development.

Result

The tile is laid broken bonded and creates a slate appearance or a small format tile appearance whilst offering the commercial benefits of a concrete tile. Russell Roof Tiles was specified for 70 new homes, which included eight affordable homes. The build was completed in December 2022, and the development at Bloor Homes quickly sold-out This is part of a 517 unit development in total, and the whole housing group will also be investing £1 million in secondary education.
