As a strong advocate of investing in and nurturing skills and talent, Burton-based Russell Roof Tiles has promoted Jamie Wilds.
Russell Roof Tiles is the largest independent manufacturer of concrete roof tiles and accessories in the UK pitched roofing market and employs 140 staff across its three sites (two in Burton) and Lochmaben, Scotland and is keen to support talent from within the business with ongoing professional development.
Jamie has been promoted to the role of Commercial Services Coordinator, based at the business’s Wetmore Lane site.
Jamie (34), who also lives in Burton, began working at the roof tile manufacturer when she was 18. Over the past 15 years she has had the opportunity of working in a number of different roles within the business.
Jamie’s new role will be working closely with Commercial Services Director Paul McLoughlin – who has over 30 years’ experience. Having been at Russell Roof Tiles for many years Paul’s role focuses on building the business across a wide range of sectors from social housing through to commercial projects.
Jamie said: “Not long after I finished my A Levels, I came across Russell Roof Tiles at a local job fair and 15 years later I’m delighted to still be here. Russell Roof Tiles has always been a company that promotes from within and provides excellent training initiatives.
“I have experienced first hand the company’s commitment to in-house progression. The team spirit and support I have received over the years is second to none, and the training has provided me with the skills be successful in the role.”
Commercial Services Director Paul McLoughlin added: “This promotion is a result of her hard-work and dedication to the business and I’m looking forward to having her as a key part of the commercial team.
“We recognise the importance of nurturing staff talent and developing skills through training and we will continue to provide opportunities to progress within the business.”
